FAQ
What is TOAK?
Three of a Kind is a gen, SFW zine that focuses on Wally, Connor, and Kyle as the Flash, Green Arrow, and Green Lantern.
What canon will the zine follow?
The zine will be following comics canon—mainly, the 90s comics.
Will shippy content be allowed?
We may allow canon ships, but they will not be the focus.
Will pieces have to focus on the entire trio, or can they focus on just one of the three?
While you can choose to create for only one of the characters, we will have piece caps on each of them. The zine's aim is to focus on the trio's dynamic.
What is expected of the contributors?
We expect contributors to communicate clearly with the mods and to check in when asked. Merch artists ONLY will be expected to work in CMYK, and writers are discouraged from writing fics with a word count above 5K.
What do I need to apply?
Artists and writers must submit three samples of their work and have three pitches for what they'll create. It is preferable if the samples include at least one member of the Legacy Trio. In addition, people who ship incest/pedophilia (even if not directly related to the zine) will not be accepted.
Can you apply for more than one position?
Yes, though this will not increase your chances of being accepted.
Is the zine non-profit?
Yes! All proceeds will be going to charity. While we do have options for charities lined up, we'll also ask for suggestions in the interest check.
Will there be a physical volume/merch?
There will not be a physical volume, as this is the head mods' first zine. That being said, we are looking to create physical merch.
